AMADI 2012 Special Trainings Programme conducted

FinMAS conducted AMADI 2012 Special Training programme in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia over the period from November 26 to December 7, 2012 which were great experience sharing events of the participants from Sierra Leone, Lesotho, Tanzania, Swaziland and Ethiopia.


The participants expressed their feelings that the trainings are very useful for their current jobs as well as future careers. They said that they learned a lot from training facilitators as well as participants who shared their expertise and experiences.


The Financial Management and Budgetary Control training course was focused on analytical frameworks and skill on financial analysis for investment decision, financing decision and asset management decision for public and private sector businesses.

The Procurement training dealt with international principles and practices as well as ethical consideration in procurement to bring maximum commercial advantage and develop high - performance procurement teams that will maximize the project’s worth.

Exercises and practical examples were used with specific case studies of international and multilateral financiers.


Mr. Mathewos Shamo, Executive Director of FinMAS in his statement said that the training was useful not only because of the design and implementation of the training programmes but also because of the trainees’ very rich and wide range of experiences in both public and private sector projects.


The participants who successfully completed these trainings are expected to bring high-performance in their respective organizations as the courses equipped them with necessary techniques and tools for their jobs.
